There are Demons in Gotham, denizens of Hell.

Melcom International is a global megacorporation run by Seven powerful and eternal Avatars of Human sin.

Haanibaal Kinkaid and his Cult worship the Demon Ba'al and his High Priest Shaitan. Responsible for Gotham's slow tilt into Wrath, squalor and darkness, Kinkaid is a catalyst for corruption and a poison of the cities spiritual growth.

Khan Akril was groomed for power by the Mongolian Demon Buzharadaa. The Chinese crimelord learned to summon dark Umbrood and Infernal Hellions to fill his army, and as a result one of the newst players in the game of Gotham is a Spirit made flesh, an Umbrood in mortal clay named Jack Emerson.

The Succubis Gulfora is a regular visitor to the city, often staying with the Mage Panic.

And then there is panic! Panic the damned Mage with an Imp for a companion. Barrabi Mage reluctantly in service tot he dark Queen Lilith and meddler in much of the cities schemes.

In the Spikeyverse nothing is Black and white. Hell, Heaven too for that matter, is a culture in itself and not every Demon fits the Judaeo-Christian mould. Lucifer's Fallen Elohom (Angels) are not the same thing as the ancient and animistic Daemons or the sentient corruption of the soul that dwells between the worlds. Succubi and Incubi haunt mans dreams, while the Furae and the Ahazu wait to snatch the souls of the sinful.

Gotham is not devoid of its Diabolic influences, after all there is a Succubus wandering the streets, and a handful of Devil worshipping Ba'ali at the Lachrymatory. Worse still, Melcom, a mega corporation that replaces both Pentex and the Technocracy in the Spikeyverse, has its head quarters in Gotham.

The Undead deny the fear they harbour of the Antedeluvians and the Garou flail uselessly against the Wyrm, the Mages hold only revulsion for the Nephandi and the Changelings whisper of the Elder Dark, even the Undying know of Apophis, avatar of Izfet. What none of them know is that all of these mega-bogeymen are nothing compared to the true source of terror, the beings that walked creation before it had form or stability, the things that even the Gods fear. No matter how evil the Nephandi might seem or how dedicated to corruption the Black Spiral dancers may be, they are simply symptoms, the Hidden are the Cause!!

White Wolf's Demon: the Fallen simply doesn't work for me, but that's not surprising, as I've been using my own version all along. Demon: the Hidden will be more familiar to those of you who have played World Of darkness systems in the past as it uses the information presented in Vampire, Mage and other source books as its basis. The Beta rules are now listed on this site (check out the menu on the full Site)

I'm not really ready to allow Hidden characters in Sodium Noir, but tried and trusted players may be allowed to play Characters with an Infernal taint or perhaps even the Half Breed offspring of True Demons. Either way, the rules for Demons in Sodium Noir follow the ruls for Demons everywhere else in the Spikeyverse and have little to do with the last game line in the Old World of Darkness line. Because they are included as NPC's and because Players may well find thier existence infringed upon by the Hidden, a page is included on this site for their details.
