Gotham Zoo spans three vast city blocks in the up town district, providing an inner city home to an impressive range of captured wildlife. Famed for such displays as the Reptile house, its bat sanctuary and the Hyena enclosure, Gotham city is incredibly proud of its Zoo, and rightly so. The huge inner city expanse has won awards for conservation and breeding, along with being home to several important natural history research groups. The project is so large that the Zoo retains a small PR company, in fact a subsidiary of Dusk Industries, to help its fund raising efforts.
Atmosphere
The Zoo is the domain of the Garou, and administered by the Glass walker Tribe of Gotham. The Werewolves are forced to battle Vampires who seek to feed upon the animals, especially those Gangrel who manage to make a home in the city. Kinfolk of several tribes work at the zoo and allow their shapeshifting cousins access after hours to ensure no Leeches gain entry. Rumours have begun to circulate that power hungry Glass walkers have allowed Undead visitors to enter after dark, but not to feed, in return for undisclosed boons. This practice might have been grounds for punishment under the Silver Fangs but the Shadow Lord rulership seems content to allow their city dwelling septmates such indiscretions.
