Description
This modern skyscraper boasts the highest priced apartments on the east coast. While any of the apartment buildings around it would be worthy of praise in any city, even their opulence and majesty pales in comparison to the daddy of them all. Art Deco forms and glistening steel structure merge to create a tower whose spire reaches high enough to catch the sun usually denied the citizens of Gotham. The penthouse suit and its roof gardens are decadent enough to host the parties of the elite as the Vampire Prince perches high above his kingdom.
Atmosphere
The list of tenants is a veritable 'who's who' of the Gotham elite, with politicians and businessmen sharing hallways with stars and stockbrokers. Gotham Towers is an exclusive domain; occupants are forced to jump through hoops simply to get their name on the waiting list and if they do get in, are expected to pay exorbitant rent. Added to this is the fact that unless you are in Montoya's favour, you would be lucky to be allowed entrance as a visitor, let alone a leaseholder.
The high rents do have a reasonable return however. No other complex can boast such safety measures, and the fire control system is second to none. Security is provided in house by the Princes retainers and if need be by his own Ghouled security, the Anubi. These Anubi ghouls who spend as much time toning their physique as they do attending their masters are pried into well tailored suits in order to 'fit in' with the other residents, but even so they manage to draw the eye of the gentile tenants. These servants of the Prince have smaller apartments on the ground floor, with a private elevator directly to the Penthouse in case of an emergency.
Story
When Montoya finally cemented his rulership of the city he wanted to stamp his domain with an undeniable sign of his power. He wanted something large and ostentatious, but luckily for Gotham his Toreador seneschal managed to force some measure of taste on the project. The completion to design Gotham towers was fierce and several of the names in the battle have gone on to create other wonders across America. Gotham towers, and the smaller structures that surround it, were built in record time and were lauded as a great achievement. The buildings they replaced were never missed and before construction was completed those with the money to afford it had filled the entire complex.
