The docks, otherwise known as corpse reef due to the amount of skeletons with concreted boots that litter the place, sit on the southern bank of the River Gotham and back onto the Reclamation industrial district. At the mouth to the river Gotham's ancient Lighthouse sits out on a promontory and greets ships as they enter the bay. Amidst the Docks that made Gotham such a vital port in the last century stand countless warehouses, unloading bays and overhead cranes. Gangs of dockworkers, often Irish immigrants or native Americans, wait for ships to arrive before exploding into action. Several warehouses have been converted into Yuppie apartments, sound studios or even cheap office complexes and it isn't uncommon for some of them to host illegal parties, bare knuckle boxing or gangs of car thieves chop shops.
