Physical Description
Brown hair, brown eyes, 5'6". Mara dresses to suit the perceived situation, i.e. fancy dress for a charity ball, leather for a Rant, etc. Her typical dress would be similar to Jordan Cavanaugh of Crossing Jordan (jeans, a nice blouse and a blazer)

Personality
A tireless crusader for justice. Her pet project is battered women. She tries to be everything to everyone and do it well. Her clients would see her as kind, her opponents would call her a bitch (or worse).

Story
Mara was born to wealthy parents in Seattle, but her childhood sucked. Her father was a well known and feared corporate attorney. Her mom died when she was 13, and her dad started abusing her until he died when she was nearly 17 from mixing too many sleeping pills with alcohol. She was the sole heir for his estate, but the money came with numerous conditions. But she found ways around some of them.

At 20, she legally changed her name to Mara Ravenclaw, wanting to put her painful past behind her. She finished college and went to law school, just as the terms of her father's will had stipulated. But instead of studying corporate law, she chose criminal and civil law instead, and did an internship at the Public Defender's Office. When she passed the bar, she went to work for them.

About three years later, she was Embraced. Mara was forced to rethink her plans due to her limited hours. She opened up Legal Services of Seattle, a non-profit law firm, devoted to helping the poor. Over time she gained supporters, associates and a few enemies. The law firm had been forced to relocate a couple times due to 'landlord retaliation' until the city gave them some abandoned office space.

Now, seven years after opening the firm, they received a sizable bequest. But like many such gifts, it came with strings attached. In order to use the money, the firm had to open an office in New York. Somehow, they all agreed on Gotham, and Mara, being the founding member, was going to get the practice off the ground. Besides, it was time she learned to live in a Camarilla city.
