Father Bellamy

Race Mage
Splat Celestial Chorus
Title Pastor

Physical Description
As his youth slips past him, father Bellamy approaches the onset of middle age. His cassocks are often worn and dirty, the result of an overly busy schedule and his eyes are tired. The weight of the world seems to rest on his shoulders and only in prayer or song does he smile.

Personality
Father Bellamy of the Celestial Chorus is a young and Vibrant preacher constantly fighting City officials, deviant Mages, the elements, hunger, homelessness and his own troubled faith. The weight of his mission has begun to crush father Bellamy and he fears that he lacks the years to overcome his failings.

Story
Led to the priesthood after a seemingly divinely inspired awakening, Bellamy was recruited to the Gotham chantry by Chorister agents within the church. He studied under a small cable of older Mages and devoted his life to the one. He knew full well of the war being waged against the darkness of Gotham, but he found his calling was to be a minister for the unfortunate rather than a holy warrior. When Chantry head Richard Chamberlain was slain by the Vampire and ex Mage Carlos Miguel Saroza, Father Bellamy felt unsuitable for the post of Chantry head, but his companions convinced him of their confidence in him. For several years he led the devout mages and the Hermetics against the infernal mages of the city. He strengthened the ties to the Temple of the five Dragons Chantry and still found time to minister to the people of Gotham. Then the one below made his move. Bellamy thought the Apocalypse had begun as his fellow Christian Mages began to die at the hands of the Nephandi, and when he finally collapsed from exhaustion he prepared himself for death. But fate had other plans for the pastor. Since the night three years ago that killed the majority of Gotham's Mages, Father Bellamy has struggled on alone at the Chantry, building a ministry from the faithful and doing what he can to look after those the darkness has touched.
